The Atlantic Carragheen Seaweed (Chondrus crispus), is an organic and wild red seaweed that grows in the temperate waters of the Atlantic Ocean. It is a small bushy seaweed, with thick reddish branches that reach 15-30 cm in length, that covers the rocks close to shore where the water is lower.

IN COOKING
It is mainly used for its thickening properties in soups, stews, sauces and jams. Boil 10g of seaweed in 1/2 liter of water for 10 minutes, then filter the liquid and mix it, while it is still hot, with the other ingredients.
